I don't remember what it was that possessed me to go to as much effort on this as i did but i know it was something to do with what spark said about where my strengths lie.
it's been ages since i did any coloured pencil work so... yeh(image speaks for itself)
ok so... i started doodling active poses on scrap paper, just stick figures you know?
so then i did one i really liked and built it up, as the chibi's are so damn easy to draw (especially mine and sparky's) i did them in this pose.
I then re did the pose it my sketchbook, neatened it up, added details and such. i inked it as i went so i could see bits clearer, but what i really wanted was to have it in clean pencil, so when i was satified i traced it onto some loose cartridge, reparing anything i screwed up when inking.
so after i fixed it with hairspray (cheeper than proper fixitive and works just as well unfortunately it stinks) i coloured it in pencil, with much colour advice from sparky. it was very difficult to get the plum colour dark enough, i could darken it in photoshop, but i really want my own pencil work to stand out.

even colouring
effective expressions
